On Friday, the 15th of December, there is a Class Colors Day.

Similar to the Class Colors Day during Homecoming Spirit Week, students of their graduating class are encouraged to sport their class color.

The colors are as such:

Seniors/2018: Blue

Juniors/2019: Pink

Sophomores/2020: Green

Freshmen/2021: Yellow

This day promotes not only Scorp pride, but it is also a fun activity to loosen up the atmosphere before the stressful exam week ensues. Coordinating with class colors, SHS’s Student Government Association designed shirts specifically for each graduating class. Offered in each class’s specific color, the shirts feature a slogan on the back that incorporated their graduating year in it. They cost $10 and can be purchased during lunch every Thursday prior to the spirit day.

Shirt designs can be accessed here.

Not only can you express your Scorp pride through dressing in your specified color, but you also ought to sport any of the succeeding options:

  • Bandanas
  • Paint (e.g. handprints on legs, dotted paint on the face, “eye black,” but with the designated color)
  • Bottoms of the designated color (e.g. shorts, jeans, skirts, leggings)
  • Spunky socks
  • Tutus
  • Colorful fishnets

Graduating class participation will be recorded to deduce which class is the most spirited. Of course, the victor ought to change on a monthly basis, so it is your duty to prove which class has the most Scorp pride on the 15th.

Moreover, certain teachers are offering extra credit for sporting your shirt! Check to see if your classes are offering incentive.

Mark your calendars for Friday, December 15th, and cultivate a more spirited school environment by dressing up!
